A popular ramen spot with locations on the Upper West Side and Morningside Heights is finally set to open a long-planned outpost in Hamilton Heights.
The Jin Ramen at 3599 Broadway and 148th Street, first announced more than four years ago but delayed by the pandemic and other factors, should open its doors in about a month, according to one of the owners who was on site recently.
The menu will be the same, he said, meaning diners can expect a long list of ramen soups, soba noodles, rice bowls, gyoza and more.
A peek inside the new space, housed in a modern mixed-use building owned by Columbia University, revealed an airy, bi-level dining room with round hanging lamps and festive Japanese decorations.
The Jin Ramen at 3183 Broadway in Morningside Heights was designated a Bib Gourmand by Michelin in 2021.
