A new Mexican restaurant has opened in a former beer garden in West Harlem.

Skinny's Cantina on the Hudson has taken over the space at 701 W 133rd Street and 12th Avenue, most recently occupied by the beer hall Bierstrasse.

It's the second location for the casual Mexican bar and restaurant, which first opened ten years ago in Long Island City.

The menu includes dishes like Mexican meatballs, fajitas, as well as a nice variety of tacos—from chorizo to crispy fish.

Margaritas and other tequila-based drinks make up the majority of the cocktails, and come in many shapes and sizes—yes, pitchers, too.

The large patio has a completely refreshed look, with modern outdoor furniture and oversize umbrellas to match.

The location, beneath the iconic steel arches of the Riverside Drive Viaduct, is steps away from Columbia's new Manhattanville campus, set to welcome its business school next year.
