With roller skating surging in popularity, there are now more places than ever to lace up your skates in NYC.
But Harlem is ahead of the trends. The roller skating rink at Riverbank State Park (entrance at Riverside Drive and 145th St)—also an ice rink in the winter—has been open to the public in the warmer months since the park was first built in 1993.
The fall season, which runs through October 15, is now in full swing.

The covered outdoor rink welcomes roller skaters six days a week, complete with two 18-and-older sessions:
Mondays & Tuesdays (all ages) 4pm-7pm
Wednesdays & Fridays (18 and older only) 5:30pm-8:30pm
Saturdays & Sundays (all ages) Session 1: 1pm-4pm
Session 2: 5:30pm-8:30pm
Admission is $2 and skate rentals are $6 per person. No reservation is required.
