With roller skating surging in popularity—thanks in no small part to viral videos of skaters like Berlin-based Oumi Janta—you may have found yourself wondering where to practice your skills.
Happily, Harlem's only outdoor roller skating rink is now open for the spring season.
The Riverbank State Park Skating Rink (Riverside Drive and 145th St)—an ice rink in the winter—is currently welcoming roller skaters six days a week, complete with two 18-and-older sessions. (Note: the rink is operating on a holiday schedule through Sunday, April 24 with two daily sessions on the weekends, 11am-2pm and 3pm-6pm.)
