Roller Skating Season Is Back in Harlem

Where to Roller Skate in Harlem in Riverbank State Park
The roller skating rink at Riverbank State Park is now open.

With roller skating surging in popularity, there are more places than ever to roller skate in NYC, including Rockefeller Center.

But Harlem, as usual, is ahead of the trends. The roller skating rink at Riverbank State Park (entrance at Riverside Drive and 145th St)—also an ice rink in the winter—has been open to the public in the warmer months since the park was first built in 1993.

And now the latest season has just kicked off, with the covered outdoor rink welcoming roller skaters six days a week, complete with two 18-and-older sessions.

The schedule is as follows:

Spring schedule (April 29- June 25, 2023)

Mondays & Tuesdays (all ages) 4pm-7pm

Wednesdays & Fridays (18 and older only) 5:30pm-8:30pm

Saturdays & Sundays (all ages) Session 1: 1pm-4pm

Session 2: 5:30pm-8:30pm

Admission is $2 and skate rentals are $6 per person. No reservation is required.
