Where to Roller Skate in Harlem

Updated: Nov 3, 2022

Where to Roller Skate in Harlem in Riverbank State Park
The roller skating rink at Riverbank State Park is now open.

With roller skating surging in popularity, many of New York City's iconic ice rinks—including the ones in Rockefeller Center and Central Park—morphed into roller rinks this summer.

But Harlem is ahead of the game. The roller skating rink at Riverbank State Park (Riverside Drive and 145th St)—also an ice rink in the winter—has been open to the public in warmer months since the park was first built in 1993.

For the remaining fall season, the covered outdoor rink is welcoming roller skaters four days a week, complete with two 18-and-older sessions.

The latest hours are as follows:

Fall schedule (Sept 11- Oct 16, 2022)

All ages:

Saturdays & Sundays Session 1: 1pm-4pm

Session 2: 6pm-9pm

18 and older:

Wednesdays & Fridays 6pm-9pm

Admission is $2 and skate rentals are $6 per person. No reservation is required.
