Sofrito's just-opened concession stand offers to-go food and cocktails by the waterfront

Updated: May 26

Latin restaurant Sofrito in Harlem's Riverbank State Park just opened a small waterfront concession stand that's perfect for these social-distancing times.

Located in the back of the main, temporarily shuttered restaurant (to find it, enter the park on 145th Street and Riverside Drive), Sofrito's sunny stand offers both simple lunch plates like burgers (meat and veggie), Cuban sandwiches and tacos as well as heartier dishes like paella and garlic shrimp.

Drinks include both to-go cocktails–margaritas, mojitos, sangria–plus a short beer list.

Best of all, the stand faces a shaded picnic area filled with benches. And, of course, views of the Hudson River abound.
