The Ice Skating Rink in Central Park's North End Is Open—and Hosting 5 Special Events Over the Holidays

The Gottesman Rink is a short walk from 110th Street in Harlem.

The brand new ice skating rink in Central Park's renovated north end is finally open.

The Gottesman Rink at the Davis Center, which replaces the old Lasker Rink, quietly debuted on November 21 and will remain open through March 15 (the oval transforms into a green space in the spring and fall, and a pool in the summer).

The winter facility offers programs such as Community Skate, Learn to Skate, Adult Hockey Clinic, and My Tot & Me.

Over the holidays look for five special events with live DJs and more, including Glow Night (12/23), Grinchmas Party (12/24), Winter Wonderland Disco (12/26), New Year's Eve Pary (12/31) and New Year's Day Celebration (1/1).

Visitors can also warm up in the beautiful new indoor space alongside the rink, complete with picnic benches and public restrooms.

A concession stand is also coming soon.

The new outdoor rink is open daily.

Hours are as follows:

Sunday-Thursday 7am-9pm

Friday & Saturday 7am-11pm

Admission starts at $5 for adults (off-peak) and is free for children under 3.

Skate rentals are $10.
