• The bad news keeps coming ever since firefighter Michael R. Davidson died battling a blaze at 773 St. Nicholas Avenue, the rowhouse where Ed Norton was shooting "Motherless Brooklyn." First the next-door neighbors who had to vacate their apartments discovered they had been robbed, then the tenants in the building itself filed a lawsuit against the film production company. Two days ago came word that the historic building, which once housed the old St. Nick's Pub, would be demolished. Instagram account HamiltonHeightsShoot captured the scene two days ago.

• Star power! Common and Angela Bassett will bring to life Ta-Nehisi Coates' "Between the World and Me" in the book's first staged reading at The Apollo Theater on April 2 and 3.

New York YIMBY reports that a building with fancy new condos (and parking spaces) is coming to Central Park North.

• Thanks, Eating in Translation, for checking out the renovated Koronet Pizza near Columbia. Here's a shocker: its infamous jumbo slice now costs $5 (in 1982, it cost $1).

• Two short years after moving to Harlem, the Elizabeth Dee Gallery will have to relocate again: its current home on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 125th Street will soon be demolished.

• According to the Commercial Observer, the nonprofit Children's Aid is buying a huge office condo on 124th Street (the official address is 114 W 125th Street) for its new headquarters, expected to open in 2020.
