The Ki Smith Gallery is moving to Harlem

• Another art gallery is headed to Harlem. The Ki Smith Gallery is moving to 712 West 125th Street, right by the Hudson River. The first exhibit, featuring art by Sei Smith, debuts on February 2. [ArtNews]

• Inwood's Darling Coffee just shuttered, but java lovers will be happy to learn Buunni Coffee is taking over the space at 4961 Broadway. Specializing in Ethiopian coffee, Buunni already has two other locations, one in Washington Heights, the other across the river in Riverdale. [Buunni Coffee via Facebook]

• Java chain Birch Coffee is opening its 11th location at Fifth Avenue and 111th Street, a stone's throw from Central Park. [NY Post]

• Check out the first images of the new Plowshares Coffee that will soon debut at 1351 Amsterdam Avenue in Harlem. The 3,600-square-foot space will house the company's roasting facility and adjacent cafe seating 55 people. [Daily Coffee News]

• After a number of years on the market, the funky-looking "Pumpkin House," perched on a cliff overlooking the Hudson River in Washington Heights, has finally sold for $2 million. [Curbed NY]

• Melba's Restaurant, famed for its comfort food, hosted a free buffet lunch for federal workers affected by the government shutdown, and Dapper Dan and Bevy Smith were on hand to help out. [The Root]
