Carousel season kicks off this weekend in Riverbank State Park, home of the utterly one-of-a-kind Totally Kid Carousel.
You'll have three full days to enjoy the fun ride, from Saturday, May 28 to Monday, May 30. After that the carousel will be open on weekends through July 4.
As spring turns to summer, the schedule gets even better. Expanded summer hours start on July 6 and include Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

At heart, the ride is a spectacular piece of public art—artist Milo Mottola based his funky flamingos, octopuses and other animals on drawings by local elementary school students. It just happens to have moving parts and be geared towards kids.
As a bonus, the carousel also has amazing views of the Hudson River.

The 2022 schedule is also online, but here's a quick look. Tickets remain $1 per ride and are sold at the entrance to the carousel.
