Carousel season kicks off this weekend in Riverbank State Park, home of the utterly one-of-a-kind Totally Kid Carousel.
You'll have three full days to enjoy the colorful ride, starting on Saturday, May 27 through Monday, May 29. After that the carousel will be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until June 25.
Stay tuned for the summer schedule, which hasn't been announced yet.

At heart, the ride is a spectacular piece of public art—artist Milo Mottola based his funky flamingos, octopuses and other animals on drawings by local elementary school students. It just happens to have moving parts and be geared towards kids.
As a bonus, the carousel also has amazing views of the Hudson River.

The 2023 schedule has been posted on social media, but here's a quick look. Tickets remain $1 per ride and are sold at the entrance to the carousel.
