Updated: Nov 22, 2020

Don't worry about who's making the pie this Thanksgiving, because these local bakers have got your covered. From desserts made using old family recipes to the latest gourmet confections, there's a pie for every taste. Here's where to find them, from south to north:

Dear Mama

East Harlem 308 E 109th St between First and Second Aves

West Harlem 611 W 129th St between Broadway and 12th Ave

Pies that range from the traditional to the drool-worthy: apple, pumpkin cheesecake and, yes, S'mores. Pick up from either location.

Pabade Bakery

East Harlem 135 E 110th St between Lexington and Park Aves

This stellar French-influenced bakery is offering five types of pie this year: classics like pumpkin, apple and pecan, plus a pear tart and a scrumptious-looking cranberry-and-pistachio pie. Preorder by Sunday, November 22.

Super Nice Coffee and Bakery

East Harlem 156 E 117th St between Third and Lexington Aves

Hosting a smaller Thanksgiving this year—as in just you? All the pies at this tiny-but-mighty bakery will be 6" this year, including pecan, chocolate pecan and apple cranberry crumble. Preorder for pickup only.

Sugar Hill Creamery

Central Harlem 184 Lenox Ave between 119th and 120th Sts

Hamilton Heights 3629 Broadway between 149th and 150th Sts

As of this month you now have two locations from which to pick up your choice of ice-cream pie for the holidays: bourbon pecan, sweet potato with toasted marshmallow, and peach cobbler. Preorder online.

Dulceria

Central Harlem 2220 Frederick Douglass Blvd between 119th and 120th Sts

Approaching its one-year anniversary, this Chilean pastry shop will be offering four types of pie for its first Thanksgiving in business: apple custard, pumpkin, sweet potato and ricotta. Accepting pre-orders now.

Sweet Chef Southern Style Bakery

Hamilton Heights 122 Hamilton Pl between 142nd and 143rd Sts

The pies are the year-round draw at this 25-year-old small business. Choose from fruit-filled varieties like the apple and three-berry or the Yelp-approved sweet potato pie. Yes, there's also pecan and pumpkin.

Fancy Pies (aka The Pie Lady NYC)

Washington Heights

Hudson Heights baker June Frances Coleman uses old family recipes to make her signature all-butter-crust pies. This year's holiday pies–from Nana's Alabama Apple to the Southern Bourbon Sweet Potato–must be ordered by Sunday, November 22.

Choc NYC

Inwood 4996 Broadway between 211th and 212th Sts

This delectable pastry shop makes tarts rather than pies, but these slightly more elegant confections still feature the traditional Thanksgiving ingredients you crave. Offerings this year include an apple crumb tart; a pear & cranberry lattice tart; and the show-stopping chocolate, caramel, and spiced pecan tart. The last day for pre-orders is Friday, November 20.
