Central Park's north end, which includes the brand new Davis Center at the Harlem Meer, is playing host to a new wellness series this fall.
Called Rooted, the mostly free programming features workshops that address the mind, body and soul and runs from September 17 to November 8.
Classes like "Nature and Mindfulness in Central Park" take place at the Davis Center's new building tucked into the hillside, while "Soul Line Dancing" is at the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center across the meer.
Advanced registration is recommended since space is limited.

As a reminder, the Davis Center's turf space is open in the spring and fall, transforming into a pool in the summer and ice rink in the winter.
The new facility also includes a path along a resurfaced stream leading to the historic Huddlestone Arch and the forest beyond.
