Four years after closing its location on 116th Street due to rising rents, beloved Harlem bakery Make My Cake is reopening on 125th Street this summer, according to a new sign in the window.

The store will be right next door to I Like It Black (409 W 125th St near Morningside Ave), a coffee shop that Make My Cake owner Aliyyah Baylor debuted earlier this year highlighting Black and Brown-owned roasters.

When the 125th Street location finally opens, customers will be able to order the bakery's cakes, cupcakes and more—it's known for its red velvet—then grab a latte or nitro cold brew one door over.

The Harlem dessert institution, which first opened 25 years ago, also has locations at 2380 Adam Clayton Powell Jr (it was recently renamed Ma Smith's Dessert Cafe) and 775 Columbus Avenue on the Upper West Side.
