Harlem was just named as one of five "standout neighborhoods for the best restaurants in New York City" by The New York Times.
In a new list published by the newspaper this weekend, the uptown neighborhood was highlighted among a handful of areas that stand out for finding great meals, including Elmhurst, Chinatown, the East Village and South Brooklyn.
"Reaching from river to river, Harlem, the historic hub of Black life in the city, contains multitudes," writes the Times, going on to mention four eateries in the neighborhood: Mexican restaurant Cocina Consuelo, West African steam table spot Accra Express, Mexican storefront Tamales Lupita, and taco standby Taco Mix.

East Harlem 54 E 112th St between Third and Lexington Aves
East Harlem 234 E 116th St between Second and Third Aves
East Harlem 63 E 125th St between Park and Madison Aves
West Harlem 130 Hamilton Pl between W 142nd and W 143rd Sts
