The pickleball craze has officially reached NYC, with more than a dozen pickleball courts opening at Wollman Rink in Central Park last month.
But if you live in Harlem, you don't have to go that far to play.
The neighborhood has its own pickleball courts—smaller than the ones for tennis—and they're easy to find.
Howard Bennett Playground between Fifth Avenue and Malcolm X Boulevard and W 135th and W 136th Streets has six permanent outdoor courts.
You'll find another three outdoor courts in East River Playground on the FDR Drive between E 106th and E 107th Streets in East Harlem.
There's also an indoor court at Jackie Robinson Park Rec Center on Bradhurst Avenue and W 146th Street, but you'll need a rec center membership, according to nycpickleball.com.
