The Studio Museum in Harlem opens on November 15.

A string of exciting new openings are coming this fall to Harlem and beyond—some years in the making, others just announced.

The most anticipated of all? The new home of the Studio Museum in Harlem at 144 W 125th Street between Lenox Avenue and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard, opening its doors on November 15 with a free Community Day event.

Designed by Adjaye and Associates, the new building will resume its misson of shining the spotlight on Black art (think works by David Hammons, Glenn Ligon and Jordan Casteel).

The museum will also have a new cafe from Harlem's beloved Settepani on the lower level, not to mention a rooftop terrace with views of 125th Street.

For those of you who prefer recreation to art, there's another major opening on the horizon: the new outdoor Ice Rink at the Davis Center in Central Park's north end debuts on November 15—it'll be in the same space as the pool that debuted this summer.

The neighborhood is getting another big hotel, too, this time from the Hilton brand (Marriott's Renaissance New York Harlem Hotel opened on 125th Street in 2023).

The George at Columbia, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, located at 412 W 126th Street between Morningside and Amsterdam Avenues, will include a ground-level restaurant and a rooftop pool—a first for Harlem.

After checking out all the new activities, you'll be ready to wind down. Some new places to eat and drink coming to the area include (from south to north):

Copperleaf Bakery at 2118 Frederick Douglass Boulevard bewteen W 114th and W 115th Streets (formerly Bean & Barley) will offer brunch and aperitivo hour.

Breakfast taco business Uptaco has signed a lease for the former Slutty Vegan space at 300 W 135th Street between Frederick Douglass Boulevard and St. Nicholas Avenue. No word yet on what exactly is coming.

Rough Draft, a new craft beer spot, will open at 126 Hamilton Place between W 142nd and W 143rd Streets (the space was formerly Little Street Lounge and before that Hogshead Tavern).

On the same block, the second location of Colombian bakery Salento at 132 Hamilton Place and W 143rd Street has murals up, but still no opening date.

A tipster informed us that further uptown, High Hill Diner, offering "classic comfort and Greek favorites," is set to debut at 808 W 187th Street between Fort Washington and Pinehurst Avenues (formerly La Creparis) in Hudson Heights.

And for those searching for new places to work off all those calories, look no further:

Fitness Factory Harlem at 362 W 125th St between St. Nicholas and Morningside Avenues looks to be opening shortly.

Thanks to the soon-to-open Mink Padel, Harlem will have its first open-to-the-public padel courts at 439 W 127th Street between Convent and Amsterdam Avenues.

The Harlem Method, a new boutique fitness studio from trainer Jahkeen Washington offering "strength, conditioning and recovery," is set to debut this fall at 60 W 129th Street.

Need new gear? The new Skechers at 124-126 W 125th Street between Lenox Avenue and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard should be able to help.

Hints of more:

The food hall on Columbia's Manhattanville campus on the northeast corner of Broadway and W 130th Street shuttered earlier this year, but permits are up for something new (no official name yet).
