The biggest footwear brand on the planet is headed to Harlem with a new retail concept.
Nike is opening its first Nike Unite store in the neighborhood at 5 W 125th Street between Fifth and Lenox Avenues.
A sign outside the location used to read "Coming soon in 2022" but has now been updated to "Opening October."
The new store concept, first introduced two years ago, is meant to “reflect the community,” with the shop selling products geared to what the neighborhood wants.
Its design is also intended to reflect the area and call attention to local partnerships.
More than ten Nike Unite stores have already opened around the world since the concept was announced, including China, South Korea and Germany.
New York City's first Nike Unite store is already open in East New York.
