Bixi in Harlem announces soft opening

Updated: Jan 13, 2021

A highly anticipated new destination on one of Harlem's busiest dining corridors is finally here.

Bixi, a jewel-like space from the team that runs neighboring spot Lido, has finally opened at 2164 Frederick Douglass Boulevard between 116th and 117th Streets.

Executive chef Serena Bass has created a pan-Asian menu, including a double-fried chicken katsu sandwich and udon noodles with peanut sauce and steamed chilli shrimp, to name just two dishes spotted on the restaurant's Instagram.

Bixi has also previewed some of its cocktails on social media, including the Pale Rider, a margarita made with Thai chili-agave and Prunier cognac.

Due to the pandemic, there is currently room for around 12 people inside and 10 outdoors, according to a recent write-up in the New York Times.

Bixi will have a more publicized opening later in the next month or early next year.
