Psst: The Outdoor Pool at Riverbank State Park Opens on July 4

You already know about NYC's free outdoor pools, but what about the one uptown oasis that's not on the city's list?

Yes, we're talking about the outdoor pool at Riverbank State Park.

On a separate schedule from city-run pools, this state-managed pool opens on Thursday, July 4.

To find this unique outdoor pool surrounded by grass and views of the Hudson River, head to the southwest edge of the 28-acre park.

This summer there are two daily general admission recreational swim sessions:

Monday-Friday 11am-2pm and 3pm-6pm.

Saturday & Sunday 9am-1pm and 2pm-6pm

Adult lap swim hours, which require a lap swim card, are as follows:

Monday-Sunday 6:30am-8:15am

Senior lap swim hours are:

Monday-Friday 9am-11am

Tickets are $1 for children ages 4-15 and seniors, $2 for those 16 and older.

The pool will remain open through Monday, September 2.
