You already know about NYC's free outdoor pools, but what about the one uptown oasis not on the city's list?
Yes, we're talking about the outdoor pool at Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park.
Operating on a separate schedule from city pools, this state-run pool was slated to open on July 4, but due to the heat wave opened early on Wednesday, July 1 with temporary expanded hours (until 7pm through Friday, July 3).

To find this unique outdoor pool with views of the Hudson River, head to the southwest edge of the 28-acre park.
This summer there are two daily general admission recreational swim sessions every day of the week:
Monday-Sunday 11am-2pm and 3pm-6pm
Holidays 9am-6pm
Adult lap swim hours, which require a lap swim card (18 & over), are:
Monday-Sunday 6:30am-8:15am
Tickets are $1 for children ages 4-15 and seniors, $2 for those 16 and older.

Thank you! I'll check it out :)
