You already know about NYC's free outdoor pools, but what about the uptown oasis that's not on the city's list?
Yes, we're talking about the outdoor pool at Riverbank State Park.
Because it's run by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, the pool is only listed on the state's website.

To find this unique urban pool surrounded by grass and views of the Hudson River, head to the southwest edge of the 28-acre park.
This summer there are two daily general admission recreational swim sessions:
Monday-Friday 11am-2pm and 3pm-6pm.
Saturday & Sunday 9am-2pm and 3pm-6pm
Tickets are $1 for children ages 4-15, $2 for those 16 and older.
Tips about when to buy tickets can be found here.
The pool will remain open through Monday, September 4, so there's still plenty of time to cool off.
