Last-Minute Halloween Fun in Harlem, Washington Heights and Beyond

Still no Halloween plans? Here are some fun events taking place tonight—no reservations needed. Listed from south to north:


3:30pm-6:30pm

East Harlem La Marqueta, Park Ave and E 116th St

Head to this family-friendly Halloween party complete with treats, slime, pumpkins, a photo booth, a bounce house, scary story hour and more.


Contest 5pm-8pm, food specials 11am-11pm

Central Harlem Harlem Shake, 100 W 124 St at Lenox Ave

Stop by Harlem Shake for its annual best children's costume contest from 5pm-8pm, plus food specials all day, including the Graveyard Mud Shake, Blood Scream Froze and Zombie Dust Yam Fries.

4pm-10pm

West Harlem City College of New York, entrance at Convent Ave and W 140th St

This free-to-the-public event on City College's neo-Gothic campus includes a silent disco in the Hoffman Lounge and a children's fair in the NAC Ballroom.


6pm until candy runs out

Hamilton Heights Hamilton Terrace between W 141st St and Convent Ave

This historic block always has some of the best decorations in Upper Manhattan.


6pm-8pm

Washington Heights Parade start: PS 187 schoolyard, Cabrini Blvd and 187th St

Wear your best costume and join the parade down Cabrini Boulevard from PS 187's schoolyard to Fort Tryon Park’s Stan Michels Promenade. Don't miss the candy exchange on Fort Tryon Park’s Cafe Lawn.


2pm-8pm

Inwood Quisqueya Plaza, 238-224 Dyckman St

Take photos with the life-size spooky decorations, grab some candy, and take part in the Halloween costume contest at this first-ever Halloween Celebration in Quisqueya Plaza.
